Greeting cards

MONDAY 19 Oct 2009, 23:37:30

Paper House card manufacturers have selected 12 of my cartoons for a series of greeting cards. The range is called 'Left Field.' I've uploaded two examples (back & front cover).

I'm not sure who the target consumer will be, other than the fact he/she has a super sense of humour. The subject matter is certainly not your run-of-the-mill 'Happy birthday' type cards. I assume the inside will be blank.

There will be an initial print run of just 500 in selected retailers. The small run is to test the waters and gauge public reaction. If nothing else comes of it then at least these cards will have some novelty value. I have to admit I admire Paper House's selection AND their sense of adventure.

3. Yeah, great result, first game I've made it to this season. I met Terry Butcher at a charity event on Sunday evening and got to have a good chat with him after the show, a thoroughly pleasant man and only too happy to talk ICT and sign my shirt for me!

1. Brilliant news Kieran - congratulations. Will be nice to see something different in the card shops.
