Lyndon Peel — Psychiatrist
Sophisticated and opinionated, Lyndon is an attentive psychiatrist who is happily oblivious to his own issues. He's been married twice and twice divorced.
Samuel Rhodes — Defence Lawyer
 Samuel has grown disillusioned with his chosen profession but family responsibilities now take precedence over his own aspirations.
Stan Defoe — Cop
 Detective Defoe is a dedicated, street-wise cop and the protective older brother of Sophie. He's also a long-time admirer of Ms. Jaggers.
Michele Rhodes — Samuel's wife
The mother of Jack is an old school disciplinarian and the heart and soul of the family.
Ms. Jaggers — District Attorney
Gillian Jaggers is Samuel's nemesis and a ruthlessly ambitious and successful District Attorney. Her only interest, outside of the justice system, is Stan.
Jack Rhodes — Son of Michele and Samuel
A smart, witty, seven year old with an opinion on everything, Jack is based on memories of my young brother, David, and my nephew, Michael.
Sophie Defoe — Proprietor of 'Defoe’s Diner'
A successful, single woman, Sophie serves up both helpful insights and delicious food to Samuel, Lyndon and Stan.
